‘Woody’ scarecrow stolen

An appeal for information and witnesses is being made following the theft of a scarecrow from Llanasa.

A 6ft scarecrow of ‘Woody’ was stolen from a garden in the village in Flintshire sometime between 11pm last night (Sunday, July 12) and 12.15am this morning (Monday, July 13). The scarecrow is filled with polystyrene balls and was secured to a wooden type construction – giving the appearance of a puppet.

The scarecrow was placed as part of a scarecrow competition held in the village.

Anyone with information regarding the theft is urged to contact members of the Investigation Support Team on 101 quoting ref RC15103524.
