Woman dies in Llandudno crash


Police have renewed their appeal for witnesses after a woman died in a car crash near Llandudno.

A black Renault Clio careered into a field on Gloddaeth Lane near Glanwydden at some time between 5.30pm and 9.30pm last Friday evening.

The passenger, a woman in her sixties, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver was taken to the Royal Stoke University Hospital with serious injuries which are not life threatening.

Sgt. Nikki Grimes-Williams from the Road Policing Unit in Colwyn Bay said they were looking for the driver of a small van or SUV type vehicle which was seen parked on the grass verge on Gloddaeth Lane at 6.15pm that evening, close to the scene of the crash.
