Who wants to be a councillor?

With less than five months to go before local elections, a roadshow tour is being launched for residents thinking about standing for Denbighshire County Council.

Serving councillors and staff will be on hand to offer advice and guidance at a series of information evenings across Denbighshire.

The council says the roadshows will explain the role of the county councillor, how the local authority works, the nomination and election process and the issues facing councillors following the elections on Thursday 4th May. Town and community council elections are also taking place on the same day.

The roadshow evenings are as follows:

  • Tuesday 24th January, 7.30pm – Ffordd Las Community Centre, Rhyl
  • Tuesday 31st January, 7.30pm – Conference Room 1a, County Hall, Ruthin
  • Wednesday 8th February, 7.30pm – Giusto Bar and Restaurant, Nova Centre, Prestatyn
  • Tuesday 28th February, 7.30pm – Denbigh Town Hall

Anyone interested in attending any of the evenings is asked to register by e-mail or calling 01824 712 589.
