Weather warning as 80mph winds to batter North Wales causing disruption and damage

Strong winds of up to 80mph are set to batter North Wales This Thursday, The Met Office has issued an amber weather warning for across the region with a low pressure system being branded “Storm Doris” is set to hit the United Kingdom.

The extreme weather is likely to hit Anglesey, Conwy, Denbighshire, Flintshire, Wrexham and a large portion of Gwynedd.

Heavy rain is also likely through the day on Thursday as well as snow on high ground.

The warning comes into effect at 6am on Thursday and will last until 6pm the same day.
