Water supply has been restored to homes in and around Llandudno Junction after a fire hydrant burst.

Four properties were evacuated after the hydrant on Marl Drive sent water over 40ft into the air on Wednesday morning.

The road was closed while engineers worked for over nine and a half hours to carry out repairs. Residents affected by the burst hydrant were sent to a nearby Asda supermarket for emergency water supplies.

Welsh Water said on Thursday that all supplies had now been restored to homes, but some customers may still be finding air in their water, which the company said was normal.
