Two youths arrested after Rhyl robbery



Two youths have been arrested after an armed raid on a shop in South Rhyl.

Police say three men wearing dark clothing threatened the female shopkeeper in the robbery at Llewelyn Stores on Trellewelyn Road at just before 9.55pm on Thursday night. They made off with a small amount of cash.

The two youths were arrested following a search of the area and remain in custody. The shop owner was left with a minor hand injury but did not need medical treatment.

Detective Inspector Iwan Roberts from St Asaph CID said: ”We are keen to speak to anyone who was in the vicinity at the time of the incident or anyone who may have witnessed three males acting suspiciously in the area between 9.30pm and 10.30pm.”
