Two Merseyside men have appeared in court charged with kidnapping a young man in Dyserth.
Michael Vose of St Helens and Lee Thomas of Liverpool are accused of abducting the victim in their car last Wednesday evening – prosecutors say the man managed to escape barefoot and seek help when he reached Dyserth. Police arrested the two men at Shotwick on the Wirral.
Thomas, aged 41, is also accused of trying to blackmail the victim of £10,000 with menacing advance – it was alleged the incident had been connected to drugs. He did not apply for bail when he appeared before Llandudno magistrates and remains in police custody.
Vose, a 32 year-old BT engineer, was granted bail on condition he does not enter North Wales except to appear in court and must report to police in St Helens every day.
Both men will appear before a judge at Mold Crown Court on Friday.
