A Towyn man banned from every shop in Rhyl has denied being caught shoplifting.

Prosecutors say David Lines was seen on CCTV stealing toiletries from the B&M store on East Parade – the 32 year-old from Maes-y-Llan was put on a Criminal Behaviour Order two years following a previous conviction.

Llandudno magistrates heard Lines was seen wearing black, but the defendant claimed he had been wearing a white T-shirt and blue shorts at the time.

Lines was given conditional bail – he must wear an electronic tag at his home and observe a daily 10am-6pm curfew, except on Tuesdays to allow him to attend appointments. The hearing was adjourned until July.
