Detectives are looking for two men who stole tobacco from shops in Rhyl and Kinmel Bay over the weekend.

The two thefts occurred at convenience stores in Rhyl last Friday and Kinmel Bay on Saturday.

The men asked for multiple packets of Amber Leaf tobacco from the display behind the counter and ran off without paying. Both suspects are described as around 5’8” tall, of slim build and wearing tracksuits.

David Williams of North Wales Police said: ”I would like to ask shopkeepers to be vigilant when dealing with such purchases and to keep the tobacco well out of reach until payment has been received.”

Anyone with information about the thefts should call police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111, quoting reference numbers RC17068697 (Rhyl) or RC17069084 (Kinmel Bay).
