Detectives have made three further arrests after a man was stabbed to death on Deeside.
A 19 year-old man was found at Bethel Place in Connah’s Quay on Monday evening – he has yet to be formally named by police. A post-mortem examination was held on Wednesday morning.
A 48 year-old man arrested on suspicion of murder has yet to be interviewed because he is undergoing medical treatment while in custody.
A 19 year-old woman from Merseyside, is being held on suspicion of possessing controlled drugs and assisting an offender at St Asaph police station. She was arrested late on Tuesday night.
Meanwhile, a man in his forties and a 60 year-old woman from Flintshire were released without charge after being questioned on suspicion of assisting an offender.
Detective Chief Inspector Arwyn Jones said the murder inquiry was ”gathering pace” and heightened police patrols would continue in the area: ”I am conscious of the disruption caused to members of the local community, and whilst I am empathetic to this, I would ask that you please bear with us.”
