So the news was released this week that allegedly Rhyl’s very own Spencer Wilding is playing the part of the Sith Lord himself Darth Vader in the new Star Wars spin off film “Rogue One”.

The film which is based 19 years after Episode 3 and finishes 10 minutes before Episode 4 “A New Hope” followings the story of the Rebel army stealing the plans to the Death Star hit cinemas in the UK this week.

Star Wars is a HUGE franchise with millions of fans worldwide and now Rhyl might have it very own connection to the films with Spencer Wilding playing the part of one of films most scary villains.

So our very own Craig K, who is a huge Star Wars fan has come up with an idea which could bring Star Wars fans to the seaside … A statue of Darth Vader !

In a world of social media and the selfie photo, Craig believes people will flock to see the statue for a picture with the Sith Lord and could it become a great tourist attraction for the town.
