Stolen car burnt out in Abergele arson attack


Detectives are investigating how a stolen car was left burnt out by an arson attack in Abergele.

Police say the vehicle was taken from Denbigh and set alight at Pentre Mawr Park in Dundonald Avenue late on Monday night.

Fire crews were called out to the cricket pitch at around 11.30pm and brought it under control at around midnight – the stolen car suffered 90% fire damage.

Officers said they had been inundated with visitors to Abergele police station reporting the incident along with several calls to the non-emergency police line.
