Seven people – including four children – were taken to hospital after a crash on the A55 at Llanddulas.

The road was closed for just over two hours after a vehicle overturned on the eastbound carriageway at junction 23 at around 12.30pm on Saturday afternoon. Slow moving Bank Holiday traffic was diverted via the A547.

The Welsh Ambulance Service said two men in their thirties and forties, a woman in her thirties and four children were all taken to Ysbyty Glan Clwyd in Bodelwyddan – they are all believed to be in a stable condition.

Two fire crews from Colwyn Bay and Abergele attended the scene and made the vehicle safe.
