Rhyl FC striker Carl Lamb has been suspended for failing a drugs test.
The Lillywhites’ top scorer is being investigated by the FAW after he tested positive for a banned substance following their 3-1 league defeat to Newtown in December.
Lamb last played for Rhyl in their home win against Newtown nearly three weeks later. The club told the Rhyl Journal it was abiding by the FAW’s ruling until the full details of the incident were revealed.
Lamb returned to Belle Vue last August following an unsuccessful trial at Aberystwyth Town – he has scored seven goals in twelve starts (and five as a substitute) this season, including the fastest goal in WPL history against The New Saints.
