Rhyl stabbing victim ‘chased by gang’

Police investigating a stabbing outside a West Rhyl takeaway believe the victim was chased by a gang before he was attacked.

A young man was stabbed in the leg outside Ocean City on Wellington Road at just before 9.20pm on Monday night. So far, no one has been arrested in connection with the incident.

In a renewed appeal, detectives said eyewitnesses reported he had been chased into the takweway by a group. The man was later taken to Ysbyty Glan Clwyd – his injuries are not life threatening.

Anyone with information about the attack or who may have witnessed any suspicious activity should contact St Asaph CID on 101 (quoting reference no.  RC16015941) or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
