Rhyl man charged after Anfield shooting


A Rhyl man has been charged following a shooting involving a pellet gun in Liverpool.

Merseyside Police said a man was found with wounds in his head and stomach after an incident on Bishop Road in Anfield at around 4.15pm on Wednesday 21st June. His injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

John Geary (46) from Wellington Road is accused of possessing an imitation firearm and actual bodily harm. He was due to magistrates in Liverpool on Wednesday.

Detectives in the city are still appealing for anyone with information to come forward – house to house enquiries are continuing in the area.
