A new discount fashion brand for the High Street arrives in Rhyl town centre next Friday.
Five jobs have been created with the launch of Pep & Co at the town’s Poundland shop. Work has been taking place over the past several weeks on transforming part of the budget store into a ‘shop-in-shop’.
Fifty stores were opened within fifty days during the summer of 2015 – the chain, which offers kids’, mens’ and womens’ clothing was brought out by South African firm Steinhoff last September. The opening of the Rhyl branch is one of ten ‘shop-in-shops’ being launched in the UK.
Managing director Adrian Mountford said: ”We might be a new brand, but we’re one that customers love once they find us. By bringing Pep & Co to Poundland in Rhyl, we’re giving people access to the brand much more rapidly than we could on our own. The combination of our design and style credentials will help create a brand new option that helps mums on a budget.”
Rhyl’s Poundland store opened in June 2013 at the site of the former Marks & Spencer, which moved to Parc Prestatyn along with another major High Street brand, Next.
