Denbighshire County Council is reminding residents and visitors that dogs are restricted on certain areas of the beach in Rhyl and Prestatyn over the summer.
The restrictions, in place until the end of September, cover beach areas from Sydenham Avenue, Rhyl eastwards, to the Old Golf Road in Rhyl, as well as all beach areas from Ffrith Festival Gardens, Prestatyn eastwards.
Councillor David Smith, Cabinet Lead Member for Public Realm, said:
“Not everyone likes to have dogs on the beaches and we have introduced the restriction areas during the busy summer months.
“There are signs in place to advise people of the by-law in place and we thank people for adhering to the by-law, to make sure that everyone enjoys their beach experience.
The beach area from the Old Golf Road, Rhyl eastwards towards Ffrith Festival Gardens site and the area to the east of the Sailing Club at Barkby Beach, Prestatyn continues to allow areas where dogs can be exercised.
