There was disappointment again for the Lillywhites – Rhyl’s crucial Welsh Premier clash at Port Talbot was called off with just 75 minutes’ notice because of the weather.

Groundsmen at the Genquip Stadium were confident the pitch would beat wet and windy conditions, but the late call to postpone angered travelling fans and players in what would have been Niall McGuinness’ first game as manager.

The Lillywhites remain five points from safety in the WPL table and face bottom club Haverfordwest County in a crucial encounter at Belle Vue next Saturday.
