Old Colwyn murder: woman arrested after man’s death

A woman is being questioned on suspicion of murder following a man’s death in Old Colwyn.

The body of David Kingsbury was found in the Bryn Heulog area at around 9pm on Thursday evening, half an hour after detectives had been called out to a disturbance at a house on Abergele Road.

A post-mortem examination has found that Mr Kingsbury, a labourer who lived locally and attended Ysgol Bryn Elian, had died from a single stab wound. The coroner has also been informed.

A 38 year-old woman from Old Colwyn arrested on Thursday evening is still being held in police custody.

Police are still appealing for anyone who may have heard a couple arguing in the Bryn Heulog, Llysfaen Road or Abergele Road areas between 7pm and 9pm on Thursday to come forward.

Anyone with information should contact Colwyn Bay police station on 101, quoting reference no. V002232, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
