Masked men steal cash in Rhyl shop raid

Detectives are looking for two masked men who robbed a convenience store in Rhyl.

The men threatened staff at the One Stop shop on Rhuddlan Road at around 10.45pm on Thursday night (28th August) and made off with cash. It’s believed the robbers fled down an alleyway near the store – a search of the area involving police dogs failed to track them down. No one was injured in the incident.

Detective Inspector Sion Williams said: “Crime Scene Investigators have attended the scene and house to house inquiries are also underway in the vicinity. I’m keen to speak to anyone who has information relating to the incident, who was in the vicinity at the time or who may have seen any suspicious activity around the store yesterday evening to contact us at St Asaph CID on 101 quoting reference number R135441.”

Anyone with information can also contact Crimestopers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
