A man has been charged with the murder of David Kingsbury in Old Colwyn.

Dean Cody (30) will appear before Llandudno magistrates on Thursday accused of killing the 35 year-old labourer, whose body was found in the Bryn Heulog area following a disturbance last Thursday evening. He died from a single stab wound.

Two other men, Colin Lyness (30) and Thomas Revatto (50), have been charged with assisting an offender. All three defendants are from Old Colwyn.

A 38 year-old woman questioned by detectives last weekend was released on bail on Monday.

Detectives have thanked the public for their information and support since the murder inquiry was launched but are still appealing for witnesses to contact them. They are continuing to look for anyone who was in the Abergele Road and Wellington Road areas between 8.30pm and 9pm on Thursday 5th January.

DI Arwyn Jones said: ”We are continuing to appeal to anyone who may have information relating to the incident, no matter how insignificant you think it might be, to come forward.”

Anyone with information should contact Colwyn Bay police station on 101, quoting reference no. V002232, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
