A man has been charged with causing the death of an Anglesey nurse in a two vehicle-crash.

Mother-of-two Susan Owen was killed after her white BMW collided with a Volkswagen Transporter van on the Nant-y-Garth Pass between Pentir and Y Felinheli last September.

The 50 year-old from Pentre Berw, near Gaerwen, was described by her family as ”a special wife, mother, daughter and sister”.

Barry Slaymaker (30) from Gwalchmai is accused of causing Mrs Owen’s death by dangerous driving. He is due to appear before Caernarfon magistrates on Thursday.
