Police say a ‘family feud’ led to a suspected stabbing in West Rhyl.
A man was arrested following an incident in Sandringham Avenue at just before 10.35am on Friday morning. Another man was taken to hospital with an arm injury, which is not life threatening.
Armed police officers from the joint Cheshire and North Wales Alliance unit said enquiries were ongoing following the stabbing while North Wales Police described it as an ‘isolated incident’.
Detectives said they were concerned the incident involved a weapon which had been obtained from the family’s home.
Detective Chief Inspector Neil Harrison said: ”This appears to have been a family feud which resulted in one man receiving an injury to his arm. I would like thank those members of the community who provided assistance to the injured man and for their support today.”
