Man arrested after Prestatyn firearms find

A man has been arrested after illegally held firearms were found at a house on a Prestatyn suburb.

Police officers, including a bomb disposal unit, were called out to a bungalow on Russell Drive at around 3pm on Friday.

The property, which was being renovated, was cordoned off by officers for over seven hours. The area around Morgan Road was also closed to traffic while residents were stayed to stay indoors.

The suspect, from the Prestatyn area, is being questioned at St Asaph police station. Chief Inspector Paul Joyce said detectives were not looking for anyone else in connection with the firearms discovery.
