Denbigh’s Mark Webster cruised into the second round of this year’s PDC World Darts Championship with a 3-0 victory over Joe Murnan.
The 2008 Lakeside champion – seeded number 25 for the Alexandra Palace tournament – proved clinical in finishing, missing just two arrows at doubles against the Bolton qualifier.
But Webster told darts correspondent Dan Dawson that he felt he could improve on his scoring before he returns for the second round after Christmas. He’ll face the winner of Wednesday night’s match between Mensur Suljovic (seed no. 8) and Ron Meulenkamp.
