Launch of Operation Darwen with Ken Skates AM


On Monday, March 27th NWP will be launching Operation Darwen, the annual operation aimed at reducing the risk of motorcycle-related deaths and serious injuries on the roads.


Representatives from North Wales Police’s Roads Policing Unit – who are also keen motorcyclists will be in attendance at Rhug Farm in Corwen from 10:30am along with Cabinet Secretary for Economy and Infrastructure Ken Skates AM.


The Force is launching the campaign on behalf of the Welsh police forces and press and media are invited to attend where there will be an opportunity for you to interview Superintendent Rob Kirman, Head of Specialist Operations for North Wales Police and Inspector Alun Davies of the Roads Policing Unit (Inspector Alun Davies is a Welsh speaker).


There will be NWP motorcycles and cars at the launch and Paul Cheshire, who is in charge of the BikeSafe scheme in North Wales will also be in attendance.
