Kinmel Bay man charged with shop robberies

A Kinmel Bay man has been charged with a spate of alleged armed robberies across the region.

Alex Coxon is accused of stealing £1953 from the Premier Stores in Denbigh last November, while carrying a machete.

He’s also been charged with taking £1100 from Bargain Booze in Vale Road, Rhyl last November and an attempted raid at the Apex Stores in Kinmel Bay earlier this month.

The prosecution told Llandudno magistrates that other men had been involved in the robberies.

Coxon (20) was remanded in custody until he appears before a judge at Mold Crown Court on Friday 28th April.
