In the light of the £3.5 million from the Vibrant and Viable Places fund as part of the Welsh Government’s £12.8million regeneration scheme of Wales, the iconic Sun Centre is to be demolished in preparation for a new Aquatics Centre and constructions of a new building.
The Sun Centre has been part of Rhyl seafront since its opening in 1980 and officially closed in February 2014, last ditch plans were made to save the building in July of the same year but were unsuccessful .
Successful as it was a tourist attraction for the town in its hey-day, but what about to local residents ?
Today we are asking as local residents to Rhyl, Prestatyn and surrounding towns roughly how many times in its 34 year life span did you use the Sun Centre ?
Weekly? Monthly? Once a year? a few times ?
