HGA: Llanfair United 2-1 Prestatyn Town

An alarming slump in form for Prestatyn Town continued on Saturday with a 2-1 defeat at Llanfair United.

In their third visit to Powys in as many weeks, Neil Gibson’s Seasiders were put on the rack as Ian Edmunds took the lead on 35 minutes for the hosts.

Mike Parker drew level with a penalty just before the hour, but James Davies hit back just four minutes later to extend Town’s winless streak to seven games – a run of form not too dissimilar to the one which saw them relegated from the Welsh Premier last season.

Prestatyn remain ninth in the table with all hopes of promotion dashed and five games to go – they return to Bastion Gardens next Saturday to face Gresford Athletic.
