Denbigh Town are up to second in the Huws Gray Alliance tonight after a 5-1 demolition of Buckley Town tonight.

Warren Duckett took the lead for the hosts early on with a sweet finish. After the break, Mike Sharples managed to double the lead with his shin after stumbling in the area.

Alan Bull followed up with two goals, helped by Salvyn Kisitu and Dan Lloyd, before the league top’s scorer Kristian Pierce notched his tally up to 15 goals by springing the offside trap with a 12 yard strike.

Buckley – previously managed by Denbigh manager Gareth Thomas – replied late on but could not prevent Denbigh from a fifth straight win in the HGA. They are now just a point behind long-time leaders Caernarfon Town.
