An imitation hand grenade found in a shed has been handed into Abergele police station.

Bomb squad officers from Cheshire were called out to the station yesterday evening, after a member of the public brought the shell to the front counter.

After safety checks, the grenade was found not to be live or posing any danger. Police said it had been discovered while the shed owner had been cleaning.
