Five people have been arrested after an alleged gang attack on a man on a Mochdre estate.
Detectives say several people were involved in the stabbing at the junction with Ffordd Euryn and Ffordd Y Maer at around 5.15pm on Monday evening. They believe it was not a random attack and those involved were all known to each other.
Three local men and a woman were arrested on Tuesday morning in connection with the stabbing – a fourth man, arrested on suspicion of assault on Monday, also remains in custody.
The victim, who was stabbed several times, was airlifted to Ysbyty Gwynedd in Bangor with minor injuries, which are not life threatening or life changing – he has now been discharged from hospital.
Detective Inspector Chris Bell from St Asaph CID said: ”At this time we are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident, but our inquiries are continuing and we are still keen to hear from anyone who may have been in the vicinity of Ffordd Euryn and Ffordd Y Maer in Mochdre between 5pm and 5.30pm yesterday.”
