Fines for footy fans after railway fracas

Four football fans have been fined after violence broke out in an incident at Rhyl railway station.

Three men from the Wrexham area and a fourth from Telford were arrested after the fracas broke out on a Holyhead to Shrewsbury service on Saturday 12th April, which held up services for around an hour. Two of the men were tasered by a police officer.

Fixed penalty notices for disorder have been given to the men – aged 22, 34, 41 and 50. British Transport Police have thanked the public for their help with the investigation.
