Voters across the North Wales Coast are heading to the polls today in the UK general election.

In the Point FM area, thousands of people will be electing two MPs to serve the constituencies of the Vale of Clwyd and Clwyd West. The polls open until 10pm with counting taking place overnight.

There are five candidates standing in the Vale of Clwyd, where there are a total of 38 polling stations, mainly in the key centres of Rhyl, Prestatyn, St Asaph and Denbigh. Seven candidates are fighting for the Clwyd West seat, which serves the Abergele, Towyn and Kinmel Bay areas.

The result for the Vale of Clwyd is likely to be declared at around 1.30am on Friday morning, followed by Clwyd West at around 3am.
