Drugs equipment seized in West Rhyl raid

Police have seized drugs equipment from a house in the West End of Rhyl.

Officers raided the property on Wood Road this morning. No arrests were made but cash and jewellery were also recovered in the operation – it’s believed the jewellery may have been stolen.

The raid follows a heightened crackdown by North Wales Police. A man was arrested in Bodelwyddan as part of a campaign called Operation Scorpion – three men from the Caernarfon area were charged last night with conspiring to supply Class A and Class B drugs.

In Rhyl, Sergeant Mark Jones said: “Enquiries into what we have seized and the occupants in the premises will continue. This morning’s action is part of our on-going effort to tackle illegal drug production,  possession and supply in the town. I’d also like to reassure and thank the local community for their help and support.”

Anyone with information about local drugs activity should contact police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
