A coroner says a Rhyl man may have died from drug abuse.
The body of Darren Henderson was found by forensic teams at a flat on Plas-y-Brenin near King’s Avenue last Monday. The 46 year-old man was suffering from liver cancer and hepatitis C.
Opening an inquest in Ruthin, coroner John Hughes said Mr Henederson was a known drug user and ‘intravenous drug use’ was a probable cause of his death. Police carried out house-to-house inquiries but a pathologist ruled out foul play following a post-mortem examination.
The hearing was adjourned until the end of June.
