A Denbigh man has denied hitting a woman five times in the head with a bottle.
James Roberts pleading not guilty to wounding – the 37 year-old chef from Myddleton Avenue also denied using a weapon.
Llandudno magistrates heard the woman needed five stitches to the back of her head after the alleged assault.
Roberts was released on bail but ordered to wear a tag and observe an overnight curfew. He will appear before a judge at Mold Crown Court next month.
