Around 20-30 buildings in Aquarium Street, Gronant Street and John Street are to be demolished as part of a scheme to clean up the west end of Rhyl. The operation is said to cost about £16 million.Demolition work

Demolition had started in 2011 at one end of Aquarium street and then had been continued through this summer. A new hotel has also been rumored at the site of the former Honey Club and the rest of the area is said to be turned into green space and family housing.
