Consultation on walking and cycling routes in Denbighshire

Denbighshire County Council is asking residents to get in touch if they have suggestions for introducing new or improving existing active travel routes within the county.

Active travel means walking and cycling for every day journeys. This includes journeys to school, work, shops or to access services, for example health centres or leisure centres. Active travel does not include walking and cycling for recreational purposes.

There is a legal duty on local authorities in Wales to map, plan for, improve and promote opportunities for active travel. Details of current active travel routes in Denbigh, Dyserth/ Meliden, Llangollen, Prestatyn, Rhyl, Ruthin and St Asaph can be found on the website: Residents are also asked online for any suggestions on how active travel routes can be improved or where new routes are needed.

People can also provide comment through the website or by phoning Denbighshire County Council on 01824 706922
