A school bus driver will go on trial in the Autumn, accused of causing the death of a council binman by careless driving.

Jonathan Brown denies causing the death of refuse collector Andrew Green, while driving a Volvo coach through Ffynnongroyw last June.

Mr Green, from Buckley, was airlifted to the Royal Stoke University Hospital but died from a serious head injury two days after the collision. He had been working with Flintshire County Council for six months.

Brown, a driver with Voel Coaches, also pleaded not guilty at an earlier hearing before Flintshire magistrates last month.

Judge Rhys Rowlands at Mold Crown Court bailed Brown until the trial at Caernarfon begins on Monday 10th October. It’s expected to last for up to three days.
