Developers behind a proposed hotel on the West Rhyl seafront have changed some of their plans.

Work began last month on the site of a Premier Inn hotel and a Brewers Faye restaurant, after over a year of delays. But now, a new planning application has been sent to Denbighshire County Council.

Although the hotel and restaurant are still planned, the revised proposals include scrapping a ground-floor retail unit and a public art display, as well as adjusting the car parking space.

The new plans have been put forward by Knutsford consultants Walsingham Planning on behalf of Premier Inn owners Whitbread and developers Cheatham Estates.

The hotel and restaurant, at the site of the former Honey Club, were earmarked to open this year.
