Cannabis haul seized in Denbigh raid

North Wales Police

Police have seized nearly 150 cannabis plants from a building on the outskirts of Denbigh.

Officers found four purpose-built nurseries in the raid on a property in Saron on Tuesday night. No one was arrested but the site was examined by forensic experts as part of an investigation.

In all, 148 mature cannabis plants were recovered along with drug cultivation equipment.

T/Inspector Glen Brumby from Denbigh police station said: ”This event serves to remind all members of the public to be aware that isolated, rural properties are being targeted by criminals to utilise the buildings for the production of cannabis.”

Anyone with information about similar drug-related activity should contact North Wales Police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
