Cannabis factory raided in Ruthin

A former off-licence in Ruthin used as a cannabis factory has been raided by police.

Drugs and equipment were seized from the building on St Peter’s Square on Friday afternoon, following intelligence tip-offs from local residents.

No one was arrested but Sergeant Jonny Hill from North Wales Police said the discovery had helped ”take a large amount of drugs off the streets”.

He added: ”Our investigation is ongoing and we are appealing to anybody who may have further information that could assist our investigation to contact us. Information passed to us will be treated with discretion and sensitivity.”

Anyone with information should contact Police on 101, quoting reference no. V092925, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
