A motorcyclist caught speeding on the A55 has had his bike seized by police.
The biker was caught by a duty officer travelling at 110mph through the Bodelwyddan area on Sunday morning – it later emerged he had been riding without a valid licence.
Police say the motorcyclist has been given Traffic Offence Reports (TORs) and will face further action at a later date.
Elsewhere in North Wales, two people were caught drink driving over the weekend. A 26 year-old woman was arrested for failing a roadside breath test after a crash in Mallraeth on Anglesey at just before 11pm last night – and a 37 year-old man was charged after he was caught in Llanfairfechan on Saturday afternoon – he was released on bail and will appear before magistrates in Llandudno at the end of the month.
Meanwhile, a 36 year-old man was arrested in Talybont, near Conwy, after he was caught driving while disqualified and without insurance. He was also found possessing a controlled drug and failed a swipe test at just after 5pm on Sunday evening – he has since been released on bail pending further inquiries.
The annual all-Wales summer crackdown against drink and drug driving will begin next month.
