A Kinmel Bay man caught driving dangerously while he was banned has been jailed for a year.
Police used a stinger to try and stop Leighton Critchley’s car – but he carried on driving between Llanddulas and Abergele with his tyres burst and sparks flying out.
Mold Crown Court heard after he was arrested, Critchley vandalised a police cell by carving the name of his girlfriend into the wall. His defence said he had admitted being an ”absolute fool”.
Critchley pleaded guilty to dangerous driving while banned and without insurance, and damaging the police cell. He was also banned from driving from two years and ordered to undergo an extended driving test.
