HSBC is to close its Abergele branch in the New Year – one of three bank closures in the Point FM area.
The Market Street branch will shut its doors on Friday 3rd March – the bank has blamed a fall in customers over the last five years for the decision.
Customers have been advised to visit the Rhyl branch or use online banking – they’ll also be able to use services with the town’s post office.
The announcement just days after NatWest announced it was closing nine of its North Wales branches next summer – including two in Prestatyn and Ruthin. The bank also closed its Abergele base in September 2015, along with others in Denbigh and St Asaph – it will also retain its Rhyl branch.
