Five people have been taken to hospital after a fire at a terraced house on an Abergele estate.
Three crews, including the aerial ladder unit from Rhyl, were called out to the property on Ffordd y Morfa at just after 11am on Wednesday morning (20th August). The fire gutted the roof of the house and badly damaged part of the first floor, while neighbours were evacuated as it threatened to spread to their homes.
The fire was brought under control just over two hours later and an investigation into the cause is continuing.
A spokesperson for the Welsh Ambulance Service said two women and a man in their forties, and two girls aged 9 and 14, were taken to Ysbyty Glan Clwyd in Bodelwyddan as a precaution.
