The A55 remains partially closed after a lorry overturned while carrying potatoes.
The lorry crashed near the exit slip road at junction 27 in St Asaph at around 10.45pm last night, spilling its load across the westbound carriageway. The driver was taken to hospital with injuries which are not thought to be life threatening.
There was heavy traffic this morning as over six miles of the road were closed, stretching back to junction 31 at Caerwys. Motorists were forced to take a long diversion via the A5151 through Dyserth and Rhuddlan, before taking the A525 to rejoin the main expressway at St Asaph.
The road is currently down to one lane while recovery work takes place.
