40 Jobs created in £1.3m expansion plan in Llanrwst


Major expansion as Llanrwst firm embarks on £1.3m investment that will create 40 new jobs
Work is underway on a major new £1.3m headquarters for Llanrwst based GM Jones Ltd that will create 40 new jobs and safeguard a further 46 with support from the Welsh Government.
The building company acquired land on Parc Ty Gwyn from the Welsh Government to build their new 13,700 sq ft premises that will include offices, workshop space and a showroom.
The expansion is supported by £400,000 from the Wales Economic Fund to create and safeguard jobs and to enable the business to expand, exploit new business opportunities and meet the growing demand for its services.
Economy Minister Edwina Hart said: “I am delighted the Economic Growth Fund is supporting the expansion and growth of GM Jones Ltd and enabling the company to take advantage of new opportunities in the market.
“Construction is one of our key sectors with high growth potential so it’s good news to hear the company will be creating new jobs in the region and providing a range of employment opportunities for local people.”
